Alcohol 120 dvd backup question
Can I backup my Unreal Tournament 2004 DVD using Alcohol 120%? I thought Alcohol was only for CD based games. If I can do it with Alcohol, are there any special settings I need to know about? Thanks.

A120 doesn't give you the option of setting a particular protection for a dvd based game copy, only for cd games!

There is a better way to backup Unreal Tournament - DVD.
1. Create a Temp-Folder on your HD. 2. Copy all files (& folders) from the DVD to this Temp-Folder. 3. Add a folder "Update" to the Temp-Folder. 4. Download the latest official update from www.atari.com . 5. Copy the downloaded Update to the "Update"-Folder. 6. Burn the contents of the Temp-Folder to a DVD-R (or DVD+R). 7. Install the game from your backup DVD. 8. Install the Update from the "Update"-Folder from your backup DVD. 9. Play the game without DVD in your DVD-Rom. (The official Update removes the copy protection !!!)
