I guess there's not much you can do about that. If you followed the descriptions in this thread and it doesn't work for you, you're probably one of those for whom DT4 doesn't emulate SF!

Now that's a question someone should ask the DT devs, because indeed that question comes to my mind when I compare those many different results using DT4.
You know, there are a lot of people reporting that quite some games using SR7, SD4 or even SF work without hiding or unplugging their optical drives. Others say that the games work, but they had to unplug the drives. For some people, including me, some games work, others don't. And last but not least, there are people who can't get anything to work.
Now, what everybody wants to know: why is that so?
That's the problem after all. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with Alcohol 120 (as some of us first speculated), it doesn't seem to have anything to do with a bad Windows installation at all (I think I'm not the only one who tested with a fresh install). There are even people reporting that games don't work, while others having almost the same system don't seem to have any problems with exactly the ame games.
But no one's gonna be able (or willing?) to aswer that question. But hey, that's what beta tests are for!

Talking I can run any Starforce Game now on New Built System!!!

Hi,

I can now run (or have tested) the following SF games (by running SFcure 64 bit and SF Nightmare disabling Node / ATA / CD Roms / Channels 1 & 2 IDE,,,
All the below are MDS/MDF Images BTW...

Trackmania Sunrise, CRoss Rally Champ, Tom Clancy Splinter Cell CT, X3 Reunion, Blitzkrieg 2, Soldiers HOWW2, D-Day, Pro Cycle Manager 4 and it seems i can now run anything i throw at it (my newly homebuilt system).

AMD 3800+ Duel Core 64bit CPU
1 Gig Corsair XML Matched Duel 3200 mem,
Gigabyte 3d1 Duel Sli in one Graphics card and SLI Mainboard,
Loads of other hi-tech expensive rubbish in a clear Acrylic Case with loadsa neons and cathodes (too much to mention) plus a true Dolby Digital live soundcard HDA Mystique to replace my much missed Soundstorm 5.1 chipset (why oh why did Nvidia abandon that???)...

On my old system (with 4 IDE Drives) starforce protection always kicked in, I could sometimes fool it with Mini-Images (not with Trackmania Sunrise or Cross Rally Championship), but on my new system, I have 4 drives connected in two Raided SATA Pair's (with no IDE connections), Is this why Sf cant detect the HDD images???

I tried DT4 but didn't have any joy (i use the SF cure from dos prompt and SF Nightmare 4 now), Havent tried DT4 HE whats the difference???

I have just a NEC 3540A DVD-RW drive connected using a S-ATA hard drive.
before going insane tell us

have you nforce 2 or nforce 3/4
have you winxp sp1 or winxp sp2
have you nvidia ide drivers or generic microsoft drivers

further

have you parallel to your dt4 installation any other emulation software like alcohol installed
how much virtual drives have you enabled
do they/it come before your physical drive(s) or after it in device enumeration
what emulation settings have you got set
and finally
have you autoplay for dt4? for alc? or for winxp? enabled

these are the things I need to know...

Nforce IDE Drivers

Hi,
i have problems with GT Legends and FIA GTR Racing with Starforce...
When i try to start GTR Racing and the disk is checked the machine
freezes and i need to reboot.
GT Legends always detects wrong disc.

I tried every instruction which i was able to find in this forum and i
was not able to get them to work(sfcure, sfnightmare etc.).
How can i remove the Nforce IDE Drivers, everytime i remove them they
are installed again afer reboot.

Please help.
Regards
wulf
