Copy Game Mixed Mode CD's

Being a big fan of Monkey Island series, I tried to copy "The Secret Of Monkey Island" on my drive, beig only 5mb big. The thing is that the cd that the game came on(Enhanced version with music score), is a mixedmodecd-game files and audiotracks. The game files only 5 mb and the rest untill 500mbs being audiotracks. The music doesn't work if i copy the game files one-on-one(obviously) .Does anybody know how to do it? I mean isn't there a way to rip the audiotracks in mp3, copy them to the game dir and do some modifications in the game *ini file??? Thanks. And waiting for your input.

Try copying the music files into a specified folder, and modifying the game exe to look into that specified folder instead of the CD.

ok
thanks.
How can I do that? I'm not too familiar with assembly language or other cracking trades. Isn't there an easier way. Or some already modified exe?
Could u tell me the tools to use for that? Thanks

Just read around on some basic tuts on making NOCDs. It should be a simple hack. Considering that I dont have the game, the path for where it checks if the files are in the CD could be anywhere (.ini file, registry, exe...)

It reamains up to you to figure out where the patch is stored and change it.

LOL

Jeebus Softice is for debugging and very very expensive and not for the new people.

Although there is a trial version available I suggest you dont use it, cause you need a knowledge of ASM before you even consider using it.

You need to go to http://scummvm.org/ and download ScummVM, an updated open-source engine for older LucasArts/LucasFilm games. It also allows you to rip the music tracks from the original CD into WAV/MP3/OGG files and play them along just like the original game would. IT ROCKS!
