PC DVD Drive Acting Up With PS2 Games....

Great, I've got a problem with my DVD Drive in my PC. When a PS2 game is in the PC drive, it spins up like crazy and continues to spin up and down for a long long time. No DVD copy program will work (DVD Decrypter, RecordNM, etc). All the programs freeze and don't respond, everytime I do this I end up having to reset the PC. This is the second computer that I have that is doing this. Both my Burner and DVD Reader is affected. DVD Movies still work perfectly, but its the games that are affected. Any ideas? I wanted to copy my Katamari Damacy (Great game ), but the drives are acting up. I've resetted my system and no go. It was working fine a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't do anything different...... Any ideas? Damn this sucks.....
