Question Burning 2 Images to DVD

I have 2 images that instead of putting each one a CD-r i want to put both of them onto a dvd disc. The images are movies, I have seen it done and the dvd player plays them. How do i do it? don't want to turn them into dvd file, just want to keep them as svcd so only taking up about 1.5 gb, i think i want to fool the dvd player into thinking it is playing an svcd so i don't have to change discs half way through.

Any ideas would be most appreciated

Many thanks for looking

Well, if your standalone dvd player can play mpegs then just make your svcd's and get the .dat file that really is the movie. Change its extension from xxxx.dat to xxxx.mpeg. Put both on a dvd and you should be good to go.

Tyler!

try using burnatonce (freeware) under mastering choose dvd data disc and just keep adding your svcd's.
some players will let you choose from there own menu which order to play in.

your right vcdgear will convert dat to vcd, svcd and it's freeware.
vcdeasy will do it as well.

Question Stil not sure

My dvd player will not play mpeg's, so i think what i want to do is create an svcd on a dvd disc with the folders on it. Then i need to put the 2 mpeg in to the mpeg2 file and name them avseq01 & avseq02, but the dvd player will not recognise it, there must be someway to do it?

try tmpgenc dvd source creator or canopus pro coder to prepare the file for dvd authoring. then use tmpgenc dvd author to author, and use its burn app to burn once authored.

put each movie in it's own track in tmpgenc dvd author, so you can choose which movie to watch. making the menu is easy with tmpgenc dvd author

make sure your files are in the VIDEO_TS folder, and leave the AUDIO_TS folder empty.
