burning DC images..some tips please?

I currently use a Yamaha CRW-6416S (SCSI) to make new backups. When I am dealing with a cdi image, I usually use cdirip to make it into a cue/wav file + iso which I use a two step process to burn with CDRWIN. Works flawlessly..these games are usually self boot(Jet Grind Radio, THPS2, Frogger, etc).

I have a few that I have in bin format..sometimes with or without a cue file. The ones with cue files, I try to use CDRWIN to burn and sometimes I'm successful in the burn process and sometimes I am not. E.g. Gauntlet Legends I was successful but it does not work in my DC after using the utopia bootCD. What am I doing wrong? Is it because the Yamaha is not fully compatible(I'm getting a new Mitsumi 4805TE to try out today which seems like a good unit).

Is there a way to burn cdi images directly to CD? What software do I use?
How do I burn bin images without a cue file?
How come I cannot get any of my non-self boot games to load after using a Utopia BootCD(which works fine)? Is it because they are not burning correctly?

thanks in advance for help

try changing bin file to an iso, or try build an iso in cdrwin. try bin2boot which is so simple i understood how to work it. this program will make non self boot into self boot. hope this helps somewhat

i have been trying to burn games using the .wav + .iso method, but i am not sure which to burn first. i am also trying to find out what order you burn the files in if there are multiple audio tracks that are extracted from the .cdi file.

if someone could help it would be appreciated.
