I always check MCN/ISRC.... if you don't check that box then you won't be reading the Media Catalog Number, and you'll be excluding some sub-channel data, so I think it's a good idea to use it....

Unless you are doing something very strange, then it is because your CD writer is incompatible with CDRwin. Everything will appear fine, but you'll just get a CD with one unplayable CDA track on it....

I prefer to use Nero if at all possible (just personal preference, and I seem to never have any problems with it, whereas I think CDRwin gives you too much control)...
