Crash Bash needs a protection fix patch available from Megagames.com, You will also need PPF-O-MATIC also available at Megagames to apply the patch to your BIN file.

I would recommend you get a copy of CDRWin to backup your CD'S.

Crash Bash has modchip protection, that's what is crashing your Playstation and bringing up the dreaded "Console Modified" screen (which we don't seem to have on UK Playstations, but I've seen them on the US and Jap ones)

What you need is a patch to cut out the protection that looks for your modchip. There's plenty available from Game Copy World.

You don't need "Playstation Licensing" lol, unless you're planning on becoming a developer anytime soon.

You will need a copy of CDRwin though. You can download the trial version from http://www.goldenhawk.com

Burn an image of your game in CDRwin, apply the patch (there's instructions on how to do this on Game Copy World) and burn the patched image back to CD at no higher than 2x.

All being well, you'll have a working backup after that.
