Data Execution Prevention (DEP) on NO-CD patch...

I am getting this on the following file.

http://m0007.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_warhammer_40000_fw.shtml#FireWarrior [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed Image

Just wondering if it's something I should be worried about or that I can bypass and use safely? I can't find anything that works for the game online so any recommendations would be helpful regarding where to find another one or if it's safe to use.

I guess I can just make a backup disc, but that kind of defeats the purpose for me!

Thanks!

I have no idea, since the file is listed as a no-cd patch that's why I asked.

BTW, it's the [FireWarrior F00 Update [ENGLISH] Fixed EXE] from Razor 1911 I am talking about, I guess the link I used pointed to the main page though.

Regardless, I never got a DEP warning before so I was just wondering what's up with that? Anyway, I am using Vista 64 bit and had to manually install the game since the installer didn't work on 64bit OS'. Also, had to make a new shortcut for my Games folder since the one the game made didn't work either. Though, the patch didn't work, just an error about it stop working because of DEP...

Oh well, I am not in a rush to play the game, I got Dawn of War, it's expansions and Dawn of War II. Just wanted to see if it was a worth while FPS of that series of games. Price was cheap, so no big deal!

Thanks for the reply!

Ahhh so was an executable, its normal then for a DEP warning if the executable is packed against snoopers, sorta like a zipped up executable.

Any fixes then, to get past it? Never seen this happen before, crack or no crack!

I'd prefer to use it rather than my actual legit copy, but I'll do what I have to do to play it eventually! Worse case, I'll burn a backup I guess.

Thanks for the info regardless.

EDIT: It appears that the C00 Updated No CD Patch works. Though, doesn't say F00 in the game anymore. This will do fine for me!
