Medieval II - How to add Patch 1.2 + Crack onto DVD1

Not really a conversion, not sure where to post it so for now i'll risk it here, mods will slap me and move it if it's wrong! SLAP, OWWW!!!

This method allows you to put patch v1.2 and integrate the crack all on DVD1 of Medieval II, so when you install it will patch and copy the crack over for you! Patched, cracked and ready to play!

Tested on DVD1 of the English 2 DVD version, it won't fit on DVD2!!

1. Copy DVD1 to a temp directory.
2. Download the 613mb patch 1.2 from here it's the v1.2 US/EURO one!
3. Using WinRAR, extract the patch to a temp directory.
4. Open the folder where you extracted the patch and then open the 'main' folder and delete the French, German, Italian and Spanish folders you find inside. This will clear 102mb of unwanted files!
5. Download the ViTALiTY v1.2 crack from here and Unrar it, then copy the Medieval2.exe from the archive into the 'main\english' folder and overwrite the existing file.
6. Go back to the main directory where the patch is and edit the 'setup.ini' file and change the relevant sections to the following and save it:

7. Now copy the folder with the patch into the folder where you copied DVD1 and rename it to something like Patch 1.2. Now burn the contents of this folder (about 4.27Gb) to a re-writable DVD with label MEDIEVALII

Now all you have to do is test install the game from the re-writable DVD1 and original DVD2, reinsert the test DVD1 and open up the 'Patch 1.2' folder (or whatever you renamed it) and click setup.exe. The patch will take about 20 minutes to install but when it's done it will have the crack already applied.

Once the patch has been applied, run the game to make sure the crack was copied over too! If so, then burn the contents of the folder where DVD1 was extracted to a DVD+R/-R!
