Best program for a 1:1 dvd copy?

I'm looking for a good program that will make a 1:1 copy of my dvd's. I need to back them up because they are getting scratched by everything it seems. Anyways I have tried a couple of programs and they say some of my movies are copy protected. Something along the lines of that. Is there a way past this. I'm looking for the ultimate 1:1 dvd copy program. Thanks for any help

There is several ways.

I use DVD Decrypter and Clone DVD.

The first removes the macrovision protection from the DVD and saves the vob (DVD files) onto the hard disk. CloneDVD reduces the size of the movie to fit onto a dvd-5 unless you have dvd-9 discs you can then just burn to the DVD straight away.

What clone dvd do you use. It seems there are several out there. Also is the quailty as of the original when you burn to a dvd 9 and what about when you burn to dvd 5

DVD-9 is dual layer discs, and still expensive they are the same size of disc as your original DVD.

CloneDVD2 is what I use, it compresses pretty well to dvd-5 (normal priced media) it does lose some quality but not much, you can also remove unwanted languages and subtitles to save some space and improve quality.
