action replay max

has anyone had any success using the action replay max with hd loader. its cause i wanted to get some cheats for gt4(cheating is good if u dont get caught...haha) well..anywayz, i have my gt4 installed in my ps2 hdd and i use my hd loader cd to boot up the hdd. i selected the cheats i wanted for my gt4 game and b4 i hit the start the game with codes, i took the action replay game cd out and inserted my hd loader cd too boot up my gt4 game from the hdd and had no success. it just goes to black screen and just stays there. i tried it many many times and had no luck. any ideas?

i figured out by now that action replay max doesnt work with the hd loader so i used my original gt4 for it work. but out all the codes for the gt4 from the action replay max, slow down time or however it goes is the only one that works. all the other ones when i check on them...put in my game...and after im done with the race it starts to load with a red speedometer thingy not the usual white one that u see all the time. i wonder why that is? has anyone tested it to see if it truely doesnt like gt4?
