Cannot start Driv3r

Hey.

I can't seem to get "Driv3r" to work...
When i hit the shortcut the screen turns black, pc seems to change resolution but then "bing" (windows error message sound), back to desktop.
But no error message, no log, nothing. I don't even see the Intro, it crashes within the 1st second...

My Specs:

I know i just meet the min requirements, but even if the game should be unplayable slow, it should start?!

I noticed, that there are no registry entries made by the game on my machine...At least under "[local_machine]\SOFTWARE\Atari\Driv3r\"

Hope that any1 has an idea
