Problem with Mafia - the patches doesn't want to install

Hi everybody!
Would you help me, please, with following problem:
when i'm trying to install patch - 1.1 or 1.2, no matter, which one - I'm receiving the following message:

Registry entry not found!
Mafia is not installed.
Cannot apply patch.

I've tryed to use RegMon to find out which entry is missing, but this is going nowhere and doesn't help at all.
What can I or should I do to fix that stuff and install the patch?

My conf. is AMD2600/ATI9600/512DDR333 under WinXP HE w/SP2.

Reinstall the game and the registry entries will be there. If they aren't, contact the game publisher/manufacturer or refer to the official game support forum. Good luck,

Problem solved (THX to guys from forum.ixbt.com)

Just how it goes:
1. Rename patch file (kinda patchorsomething.exe) to patchorsomething.zip (actually, it IS a .zip).
2. Extract it somewhere.
3. Manually replace every file in Mafia game folder that you can with extracted files (overwrite, if prompted).
4. Put the rest files from Patch folder directly in Mafia game folder and forget about them.
5. Game is patched now, enjoy (maybe you'll need to find No-cd-fixed-exe stuff to play, I did).
