FIFA 2005 Crash

I've installed Fifa, when I start it up it seems fine but when I go to try and play a match it crashes back to windows before entering the match, or when I choose the create player menu. As far as I know all of my drivers are updated and my video card is good enough. Any help?

Do you try this with your original cds without a crack, or do you use backup cds with a crack?

What are microsoft service packs? I'm a bit of a novice. Where can I locate them or how can I uninstall them? Cheers mate.
