Fifa 2005 Sound Problems

i just installed fifa 2005 on my pc , i have noticed that fifa does not utilise my 7.1 surround sound speaker system , there is no option in the game to do that .

also while playing the game , the sound will suddenly begin to pop and than there is no sound at all .

i have to quit to windows , and than play the game again ..

i have a sound blaster audigy 2 zs , and a nvidia fx-6800 ulta graphics card with directx 9.0b.

i dont think directx should be an issue here . All the other games play fine , My brother installed the game on his pc , and the sound work fine there.

help please

put it to 5.1 Sound in Audigy Speaker Settings..
and everything is working fine!
