it can probably be fixed, and fairly easily if you are experiance. Although, that is a pretty messed up board.

Anyways, use that guide. The hardest is finding points to connect though. You might even have to flip the mobo over to get it.

You did that with a 15W iron?

ok this is the thing i got a non solder mod but it would move so i tried tightning the srew some more then i strip the hole so i thought the only way to get a good connectoin would be to solder wires to the mod and solder them on the motherboard. but i didn't know that you where duppose to use a 15 watt solering iron i used a 30 watt. yaya i know im stupid. a friend of mine has the dirty disck error on his so im going to buy his and use my dvd rom. so would anyone want to buy my motherboard?

llama.com buys broken xbox's for $50, not matter what shape it is in. You could probably make a little more than that by selling the case, power button assembly, power supply, and controller ports seperately. The mobo will go for maybe 5-15, but you'd probably have to include the HDD to get that much.

I dont think a 15W difference is really that big a deal but to do that much damage you must have been determined! Actually, I have used 30W with no problems but you just have to be aware and 15 is safer for inexperienced users.

Moral of the story: If you've never soldered, practice on some junk boards instead of making your Xbox one.

At least you gained some valuable experience!

yah, the 15w vs a 30w shouldn't make a difference here, since they are points on the board that are being soldered to, rather than chips.
