tomb raider backup
well, i tried to backup tomb raider for ps2 but for me is imposible.
I used alcohol 120, instant cd/dvd and recordmax dx but the problem is the same. I have a v4 ps2, no solder chip and ar2 v2. What is the problem?, becouse i backup other games without problems. Thanks a lot an i wait your answer.

this game is known to have problems when booting using swap methods. people have been able to fix this by patching it with the pal/ntsc selector from ECHELON

The problem is your "no solder chip", which is not a chip but in fact a little plastic device filled with the fecal matter of greedy nerds who like taking advantage of gullible consumers.
The fact that it's taken you this long to find a game that doesn't work is frankly amazing. In case you're still confused... YOUR NO SOLDER CHIP IS A PIECE OF CRAP. You will continue to find games that don't work with it. The number will increase exponentially until you either get a real chip, stop copying games, or the PS3 comes out... at which point you'll probably, if you don't listen to my advice here, go buy the Swap Magic 3 with the NeoKey2005. - Gurm
