At Last
hi guys. all the time iv'e been a member here i have NEVER been able to ftp to and from my xbox using any version of evox except the original. iv'e edited the evox.ini file set static ip. and every thing i could think of. after about 50 attempts i gave up.
that was untill today i manually changed my nic card ip address and subnet mask address. now some of you will bag me big style for not doing this in the first place but i was never comfortable messing with the nic card so previousley i left well alone. that was untill i decided to to remove a spare nic card from one of my other pc's and i'm glad i did. i sat down read evox for dummies all the way through. and now i'm glad to say i'm running evox 1.8.3752 and i can ftp with it. i humbley bow my head to the xbox gods. you know who you are. |

Hey Dude,
Does it say die hard member by your name?? Just kidding
Well I know when I first tried to ftp to my XBox I had no luck but I configured my nic but what was wrong was the static ip was set to no I thought by just switching it to yes while on the cdrw would do it, alas I had to burn another cdrw.Hey the way I look at it its the small things that mess us up!!

my problem was no where near a simple as your's i had to manually reconfigure my nic card completley. proir to that i always just used the auto ip settings on the original evox. like i said i tried every thing and i mean every thing before i started to mess with the nic card.
i could always ftp to my xbox just could not use any version except the original evox. |

I'm always interested in networkings stuff so please clarify.
I'm not really understanding what the problem was. You say you reconfigured the NIC? It only carries the MAC address - the IP is changeable in evox and windows - so what did you configure on it?

my nic card would not allow me to change the ip addrtess via windows and no matter what i did with evox it made no difference. i had to go in to the hardware properties and manually set the desired ip address and subnet mask address. directley through the nic card itself.
