i cant get clone cd to burn faster than 2x

i cant get clone cd to burn faster than 2x,
i dont know the make of ny writer( it came with the computer) but i know its 4x.
I have nero burning rom.
Also is it possible to copy half life (euro) without clone cd, using nero burning rom.
