Well, with 12x you can do perfect copies, so the choice should be obvious.

I myself, has got 24x model. Works real nice! If you can afford it, go for that one.

What do mean you have to wait?

The drive has been out some time now. I live in Sweden, but I ordered the drive from Denmark. There is always that option to consider.(buying from abroad, that is)

K, I can see your problem, but why not go for the plexie. It is more expensive, but it does read damaged discs better. I still use my old plexie for reading(sometimes that is).
And also, in sweden we have the opportunity to shop and then pay...
Ehh,how shall I explain?
You order, and when your stuff gets to the post office, you have to pay a fee to get it out(about 10$).

Surely you guys can shop that way to?

The 24x Plexie its around 380$..way too expensive
While the 12x doesnt have EFM right?

And I didnt understand the payment option...I mean, we have something here that's about pay the mail to get u the stuff and thru them pay the CDRW when u receive it (they pass the money to the dealer of course), but the shop who u r buying from must have this option, and I didnt see any US site with that available for foreign countries...anyway the custom house makes u pay import taxes of about 50% here.
Thnx for the help, again
