Lite On CDRW differences

I saw @ clone CD place that 12x10x version has EFM control + burnproof while 16x dont have EFM???
I can get 12x @ $120 and 16x @ $135

Most of all I want a writers that holds for as many years as possible, and second I want em to write the games ISO's on CD
Thnx for any advice

Well, with 12x you can do perfect copies, so the choice should be obvious.

I myself, has got 24x model. Works real nice! If you can afford it, go for that one.

Mike da Gipsy 13-10-2001 21:56

Thnx, I'll wait for that model then

Grymlingen 14-10-2001 02:11

What do mean you have to wait?

The drive has been out some time now. I live in Sweden, but I ordered the drive from Denmark. There is always that option to consider.(buying from abroad, that is)

Mike da Gipsy 14-10-2001 21:18

Im in argentina, didnt arrived yet (altough plex24x yes)
And I dont have a credit card :( (and dont want to risk a friend to use his card via web)

K, I can see your problem, but why not go for the plexie. It is more expensive, but it does read damaged discs better. I still use my old plexie for reading(sometimes that is).
And also, in sweden we have the opportunity to shop and then pay...
Ehh,how shall I explain?
You order, and when your stuff gets to the post office, you have to pay a fee to get it out(about 10$).

Surely you guys can shop that way to?

Mike da Gipsy 16-10-2001 01:22

The 24x Plexie its around 380$..way too expensive
While the 12x doesnt have EFM right?

And I didnt understand the payment option...I mean, we have something here that's about pay the mail to get u the stuff and thru them pay the CDRW when u receive it (they pass the money to the dealer of course), but the shop who u r buying from must have this option, and I didnt see any US site with that available for foreign countries...anyway the custom house makes u pay import taxes of about 50% here.
Thnx for the help, again
