The reading took 16 minutes after I put the burner and cd-rom on seperate ide channels. The writing took 49 minutes. These are the times for me to copy the Sims Hot Date with safedisc 2. For the read it says calculating optimum power or something like that. The buffers fill up then deplete. Then it says writing image session 1. It takes awhile for it to get to 4%, then it stays there forever, then it quickly finishes. I would really like to know if anybody has had this same problem or if this is normal.

I think it all has to do with your reader & burner. I believe some say their burner would actually be a better reader than their other CD-ROM on the same computer as reader. I believe that's the case for me when I was doing SeriousSam2. Took me up to an whole hr to read with my Kenwood 72TrueX and came out with a messed up image. Then it only took under 20 min's to read with my burner Lite-On 40125S
Of course, this was on the same setting to read "4x" with some fast error skip settings. Delay is also added when you can't read/burn as fast due to making a readable copy
