Daemon Tools vs UltraISO
question about using mini-images to bypass the CD check. i downloaded the mini-image for Rise of Nations and mounted it using UltraISO (since i already had that).
when i tried to run the game it still asked for the CD. i then downloaded the free version of Daemon Tools Lite (4.47.1.033) and that worked. is there some reason why UltraISO did not circumvent the CD check. or to put it another way, is there something that Daemon Tools does to get around the CD check. i'm not sure what difference it makes since they both mounted the virtual CD. thanks! |

UltraISO is a tool for editing ISO's, it's not a sophisticated CD/DVD emulator. Unlike Daemon Tools.
