Couldn't agree more.

Hes not doing anything wrong?

He rips off things left right and centre, options for other trainers, CE's source...etc

He isnt doing anything wrong to you, because you get some half assed working trainers for free, right? Of course it is.

And also dont assume to know what DarkByte thinks.

ok you are right, will have no problems with me, I will not return to the forum, so no problems there, but realize I have to defend against this kind of insolence.

greetings to all and thanks for everything.
(my reply) hows it insolence, you've been caught with your hand in the cookie jar more than once

I repeat that we do not have to bother but for me, will not return here, because I do not put crap in the other, and clearer water

i use translator, this is me last message here, bye to all.
so he claims he won't be back, i suspect he'll lurk however...

i have 0 respect for a code thief (especially now that its proven), that includes using other peoples work and passing it off as your own with 0 credit given.. to me, thats disrespectful, calibers trainers i have always found to be professionally done.. no crashes, no strange crap, and most especially no anti virus warnings, albeit his trainers are sold (but do become free to the public after a period of time.. which is an amazing gesture), and the guy deserves some credit and compensation for his work.. with most of the modern games training is not an easy task...

I never claimed to know what DarkByte thinks, but you don't know either. If it matters so much to you, contact him and get his opinion. If he actually has a problem with it, then I'd agree that h4x0r was in the wrong. However, if he doesn't want people using his code freely without crediting him, all he'd have to do is mention that he wants to be credited somewhere on his page, which he hasn't.

As it stands, it just looks like PhoenixCH started this thread to rub out the competition by making a fuss over h4x0r being a jerk.

He is a jerk. And a thief.

Again its COMMON COURTESY to give props for peoples work.

It doesnt have to say he doesnt like it in his source code. People should know to say "Thanks to DarkByte".. Yes I dont know how he thinks, why that is an issue when you say it to me is mind boggling, because you were the one who was assuming what DarkByte was thinking I was not. But its nice to be nice.

Kelsat was just as bad, even his ASM engine was a rip of someone elses, and the chiptunes was knicked from other sources to be used on his. But I havent seen any of his work around for a long time, maybe he got the message you cant steal options from others.

Not being courteous doesn't make him a thief. You can't steal something that's being given away for free with no attached restrictions or requirements.

For example, I could have a basket on the street filled with five dollar bills and a note saying "Go ahead and take the money if you want to", if people take the money and don't say "Thanks", they still aren't stealing, they're just being jerks.

But there's no mention of him stealing from other trainers in PhoenixCH's OP. All it talks about is using CE code to make his own hacks.

If he's stolen from other peoples' trainers, then list them off with the proof.

There has already been a thread about such a proof in a pair of Overlord 2 trainers although, because of the heated arguments (to put it mildly), it was deleted.

Ah, see that actually sounds like thievery. At least much more than using source code that's given out freely.

Let's cut the crap. Phoenix made this thread NOT cuz h4x0r used Cheat Engine and didn't give proper credits. He's known as a CH trainer ripper, and as usual, CH uses any chance they get to hammer down on "competition". Cheat Engine is open source, period. If I made one such trainer and asked Dark Byte if I can advertise my site in the process, and he would agree (which I know he would! have him on MSN right now), now would that make CH goons feel better? Of course not.

As I said, this thread is not about the MEANS, but about ripping. Sure, masked

Anyone and their dog can open up the trainer in the MOST POPULAR debugger for win32 out there. You don't need a "tutorial" to teach you that. Plus the [ENABLE] and [DISABLE] options are carried on by the trainer engine. The trainer itself is an ENGINE. All it does is embed the script and pointer it out T_T..

I suggest Phoenix would do some research before shoving in the next masked ripping thread..

@PhoenixCH

sorry but your trainers suck, they cause the games to crash, and dont even work properly, and you dare to charge people for your half assed trainers?

h4x0r at least makes the trainers for free and does not charge people for such things, and his trainers actually work and dont make the game crash!

so stop complaining about what someone else is doing and just do what you do best is charging people for your sucky trainers!

Well, you couldn't have got that post more mixed up. The reason you can't get them to work is probably because the versions don't match in all probability. And at least when we do a release it is, many times, fully-featured and fully working from the outset, and doesn't require continuous addition of options in the realm of about 1-2 a day, or a complete fix because the first one didn't work at all. This has happened on more than one occasion. So you might actually want to confirm your facts before you start to bad mouth someone.

As for the age-old argument of charging for trainers, if you have a problem with it them don't pay. It's as simple as that. However, when you consider the time and effort spent in getting these releases out, with the quality and quantity of options, and for most PC games that are released, it's only a very small price to pay. Members' suggestions are always taken into consideration as well. If it's deemed necessary, then it will be added. And you get the support of the community on the forums too. The list goes on, and it far outweighs any negative points that you might bring up.
