Game running ok @ 1024x768 but locks up at the start when I try 1280x1024?

Yeah run it at the lower res lol. Seriously though many mant people are experiencing the same prob and have to run at 1024x768. I myself managed to run in a higher res. What GPU and drivers are you on ?. If poss update them as this is what sorted my resolution prob out for me and as you can see from my sig im now on the newest driver version.

What I noticed - changing the resolution or the keyboard layout, or gamma, the game asks to restart the machine. Never had that with any other game.
Never had any troubles though starting from a savepoint.

Got further now in the game. Just started again from CITY COUNCIL Level.

I had the "truck won't crash through the gate" problem. And I think I found the answer.

Here's the trick: The trigger for the truck to come through the gate involves the player moving toward the gate by passing between the wall on the left and the black car to the right.

Move past the car toward the gate. The truck will start and crash through the gate. If you want, you can jump on the gate as the truck hurtles toward you.

Coming at the gate from any other angle will not work.

P.S. It does not seem to matter if you clear the street of opposition or not. All that matters is that you move toward the gate by passing between the wall and the car.

After an hour of allsorts of ways to get around the lorry gate bug, i think i've sorted it.

If the lorry don't crash through the gate, pull up the console by pressing "@" key, then type "Restart" (without the ")in the console and press return.

The level will reload, now head back to the gate and the lorry crashes through the gate .

I did not have cheats/trainer running when i did this, and i walked between the wall on the left and the black car on the right as told by "MrLipid" in the post above.

Hope that helps, i'm off to play some more "You Are EMPTY".

I have the same problems like a lot of people: the game freezes after the intro video. I've tried the cracked version and even bought the original game, but it happens just the same.

Can anyone hook me up with a savegame from just after the intro vid?
Maybe I will be able to load that one.

I tried them, but unfortunately it didnt help. The game loads till 99% and the freezes again. I can only pres control-alt-delete to quit the game. It seems like I am not able to enter the actual gameplay, very strange.

I have tried all the solutions I could find on the web, and also e-mailed Digital Spray, but no reaction so far. Would be a shame to waste my 38 euros.. anyone got an idea ?

My specs are:
Windows XP SP2
Intel P4 3.0 Ghz
1024 MB RAM
Geforce 7800 GS 256 MB
Creative X-fi audio
Latest drivers etc.

If you have tried all options and from reading your posts and the PM you sent me it seems you have then i would recommend you take the game back to place of purchase if thats poss. You could always wait a while longer to see if digital spray contact you with a soloution but doing that means you may go over the time limit to take back to place of purchase.

Depending where its purchased inthe UK depends on if you can take back for a refund/swap for another title. Its got much strickter to take PC games back to place of purchase in the UK but its still poss providing you state the game is at fault and not you (as in corrupted install ect). I have taken many games back in the past but its much harder now than 2 years back.

Sorry i dont have anything more helpfull relating to a soloution. If it helps the game IMHO is not that good at all. Looks ok in places but game feels unfinished and dosent quier cut it imo. (scored very low in reviews also and quiet a few sites havent even botherd to review it lol)

hi i had the same problem with the tram mission but i have now cracked it right go down the ladder kill all the solders then go to the black gates kill the to solgers on the other side now if you look left you will see two boxes one small the other large move the large one as close as you can to the lampost
make sure it is all so pushed up against the wall then move the small one so you can jump onto the larger one run jump up onto the lampost ( you must be quick or you will fall off ) once on jump up again then jump again and turn to your left if you do it right you will end up on the balcony now just jump over and play on if you cannot do this email me and ill send you the save game so you can play on

Hello, this message is only to let you all to know that I noticed that with the "reloaded" fix no-cd, the game only works when the ethernet cable is connected to a working router... even if without an internet connection.
In other words, the "fixed" game can load a new game (or a saved game) only when your LAN cable is connected to a powered router (may be to a modem too, but I don't know). Please note that the router doesn't need to be connected to internet.
(After the game has loaded you can power off your router, but if you have to load again a previous saved game, you have to power on your router again..)
I experienced this with two differents computers, with WinXP and Vista.
Hope this message can be useful... may be a new version of the "fix" will be expected...

I am new to pc gaming! In you are empty after you get the first key of the game go thru the door get your first gun then go outside the door closes and i cant move on in the game. How do i get out do you stack the crates somehow?? Please Help! beni_blanc

Are you using a trainer with unlimited health option on?

If so, turn it off and reload your save before you get there or reload the level. Its been known that the trainer/s cause level hang ups like these.
