You're right, but where's result of all other stuff? Look at the 1.8 patch's size and then find out the size of these files (remaining of 1.7). The last is just a small part of all the files that should had been replaced. Nope. 1.8 patch is not what we're expecting for.

without the 1.8 exe file the patch is useless. so you can't patch the game, then play with 1.7 exe file. you can, but most of the fixes won't be applied. So basicly you may as well play with 1.7 patch. or wait for a proper crack.

Well, I'm gonna reinstall and play from the beginning with the 1.07 Patch
For some freakin reason the DVD won't work with the new patch...

Gothic 3 - 1.8 NoCd patch

Ok, i have uploaded the 1.8 NoDvD patch, Complete with added tweaks and files that fixes some ingame bugs.

I have tweaked the hell out of Gothic 3 and I can finaly play it with 1GB ram and a ATI X550 (entry lvl to mid lvl card ) with most settings on medium and my game hardly even stutters, just sometimes in the cities. Out in the open this game is smooth like a babies bottom.

Inside you will find the following files :
1.8 scripts and dll files.
1.7 exe
custom 1.4 shader file
Custom animation files
Custom G3.ini file


Instructions :

download the 1.8 gothic 3 patch.
run the 1.8 gothic 3 patch.
Download the no dvd patch from link below.
extract nodvd patch to your gothic 3 folder, overwrite all files.
play.

Do the quality of the game will be lower with that patch, or it will be still the same?

It sounds like the quality getting low because of the tweks....

No, the tweaks have nothing to do with quality, you set the quality yourself in the game menu. Only things i changed were Cache settings mostly. the custom shader file does lower shader quality, but only for people that choose 1.4 shader effects. if you choose 2 or higher then it won't effect you.

Basicly if you play with settings on high because you have a super comp, then be glad, your game will be even faster ( trust me, it helps even super pc's stutter with this game ). if you have a medium or low end pc, this patch will make the game smoother.

Thanks raymerjacque. This also works with the german version. At least I assume it does. I installed patch 108 and the nodvd patch and the game runs. Dont know where you see the version number.

I think it has made an improvement but I didn´t have much time to test it as the main thing I was hopeing the patch would cure hasn´t and as before I had to stop playing after a few minutes.

Dont know what´s causing it. A few minutes into the game (up to max. 15 mins) black shapes appear and random textures become see through and certain graphics stretch......untill I cant make anything out.

I had the same problem with another game, cant remember which. I thought it was something overheating so I installed sensors but nothing was showing hot.

Any ideas to solve this would be great.

download the XtremeG Drivers 9689 from Tweaksrus and play the game, without OC the card. And make sure you have selected Shader 2.0 or 1.4, not 3.0, If you selected 1.4, do not turn DOF o OE, if you use 2.0 , turn on OE in the Post Procesing settings!

uhm, but this is not an official NoDVD v1.08, right? Looks like the 1.07 exe to me. Well, I cannot try now, because I reinstalled and don't want to touch a running system :P

Hehe, I dont believe in god either, just wanted to thank ya.

I tested it and it seems to work fine, performance does seem better. Boars are now easily dispatched although I did a little less damage to orcs which I can only assume is because the armor fix.

Only problem is after killing the boars for the rebel camp, the game locked. Had to reboot my PC. I dunno if this is because of the crack tweaks or a game bug. Either way playing it was much more fun while it was working.

Now I have need for speed carbon downloading (legally for those who would assume otherwise) so I don't want to risk corrupting the download with more crashes. I'll try it again after EA Link finishes its stuff.

Correct, and it is in the patch notes i posted above ( 1.7 exe ) it is only partial 1.8, but still it is better to have some fixes than no fixes at all ....

Also i have tweaked the living crap out of this game, with my files above you can now play this game on 512mb ram with a geforce 6200 ... i know cause my brother on his crap pc does..... there is no downside to using the files above.


(only one minor problem is with the custom shader file, if you use shader 1.4 you sometime get a red side effect on cave walls, but small price to pay for huge performance boost, if you use shader 2 or 3 then it won't effect you. )

So, what is the Gothic 3 v1.08 (1.8.25817.0) [EURO] No-DVD/Fixed EXE which is to be find on GCW atm? Is this the same you uploaded here?
I downloaded it, but I am scared to try. Also the exe-Size/Date seems to be exact the same as the 1.07crack...
