PS3 pre-order

hey guys..just lettin everyone know that tomorrow is ps3 pre order day! gamestop and eb games are gonna start pre orders but only for a few mins due to the limited amount of ps3 that will be shipped to their stores. go and check out their site(s). im only 10mins away from mine so im gonna head out there for sure

Thats all nice, but I would be a bit cautious, give it a month or two to see how it turns out. Don't get me wrong; I'm a big Playstation fan, but I don't like rushing into things, especially things that are worth so much money

sh*t i guess i got there too late! when i got to both of my local eb games and gamestop stores here there were already people with their magic ticket. i knew i should of gotten there early but i guess i was too hungry in the morning so i had a nice breakfast...lol. but im not all that worried. i will just put my name on a list when they start gettin continual shipments. and yeah this will give me time to save some more cash to buy a 1080p hdtv.

Once apon a time, there was a Sega Saturn, it had unique features that made it a great console.

Then along came sony, who said "Our machine is state of the art, come come buy my machine, come come developers we will make a deal with you" and lo the people did flockest to the stores and buyest a PSX.

But those people did not knowest that the Saturn was superior in hardware to the PSX, but the peoples did listen to the hype.

So the people from Sega with their knowledge made a new console the Dreamcast, and it was good. But lo.

Microsoft the big corporation they does sayest "Come see our machine it is the 1337" and some of the people loyal to Sony did flockest to the stores and buy the Xbox.

The people from Sega and Microsoft, they did come together to get rid of the evil threat from Sony. And it was good.

But they did not knowest the evil that was lurking in the darkness, the evil that was Nintendo, as they enticed people to their dark cave and lo they were never seen again.

But lets have a few minutes silence for Atari who died at the first hurdle with the Jaguar, which was a nice console but nobody wanted to make games for it as Atari wanted all the glory.

Who is actully getting a ps3? Those things are like 600$s plus the games are gonna be like 60$, and the ps3 is nothing more then a ps2 with pretty graphics?

So what are the biggest reason for getting a ps3?

im guessing u dont care much for ps3 ...lol. well im gonna get one cause the technology in that machine is a breakthrough. u can play blue ray movies, it has built in wifi, multi card reader, 1080p resolution, and the games on this machine are off the hook. the xbox360 doesnt have built in wifi, hd dvd built int, or true 1080p resolution.

I love the PS3, But you gotta admit though, Thats alot of bucks . I will eventually get one but it wont be at launch. I'm going to wait a few months and see how it does. I rushed right out and bought a 360 at launch and had to send it back to microsoft to get it fixed. They fixed the console for free but it ate games which MS didnt replace. The 360 i own now is a much better console than the one i purchased at launch. It runs smoother, quieter and loads faster. My point to this is the PS3 is being rushed probably even harder than the 360 was. My guess is the first console's will have problems. If so, considering the amount of money for the console and the price of games it might be a better idea to wait and see what happens.

u have a point there warlock. the same thing happened with the ps2. the laser on the first versions sucked *ss. it wasnt till later versions that the laser was far better. but yeah i got lucked out at gamestop and eb games, i got there too late. so i guess i have to wait till they start shippin more consoles to have a better chance of gettin one. i have a 1080p hdtv and its doing no good till i get that ps3 to take advantage of the full resolution. i might wait two months after launch to see if there any loose screws on the first wave of ps3's...lol
