hi
has anyone used one of these non solder modchips ?
i would just like to know if they are as good as the ones that need soldering

They pose a high threat of damaging the PS2 as the clips are pure crap and break the fine-pitch BGA legs.

A soldered Crystal 1.1 or Matrix Infinity would make a far better solution. PM me for details if you're interested...

We're glad it worked for you and your having no problems but others havent had the same sucess. Again i'm not knocking your mod but the best solution no matter what chip used is to have it soldered in. The clip is the problem, not the chip itself .
