Dungeon Seige 2 Patch 2.2 Installation Error

When I try to install it, it begins to "prepare" the patch for installation, but after some time tells me that their is not enough space, try again after freeing some space.....the problem is I have 2.05 GB free in C drive, 3.65 GB free where I installed Dungeon Seige 2 and 4.56 GB free where I am keeping that patch, I think its more than enough free space wherever it extracts its files! Help someone.......

As the message says, free up more space on the drive where Dungeon Siege 2 is installed! I think it makes a backup of the file or files being patched so you rollback if there's an error, this also doubles the space needed for the files!

You may have to temporarily uninstall some programs and try to free up another 1 or 2GB of space and try again! Failing that install the game on another drive/partion with at least 10GB free!

Hi alinewaz,

just in case you used a NOCD for 2.1:
Replace the ORIGINAL "Dungeonsiege2.exe" file from Ver.2.1 BEFORE you update !!

Thats the secret.

Well, i have an other problem with ds2 and the crack.
No problems with installing, patching and starting the game with the crack for version 2.2 but...
my charackter is gone.. tried to take the backup files but i cant load my old charackter. no problems with creating a new one and playing and reloading it, but the one from version 2.0 is gone... any ideas?

If you use the RELOADED crack then your Save Games will not work in ANY updated version or even the retail version of the game!!

This is due to RELOADED making a bad crack which makes games saved using the RELOADED crack incompatable with updates or the retail game!! So you're stuck with finishing the game using the RELOADED crack or updating the game and starting all over again!

I bought the game some hours ago and I'm having the same problem with the patch it's stupid having to free up that quantify of space for a 13 mb patch I have downloaded a lot of more bigger patches than that 130 mb or above and don't need so much space to install
