XIII question regarding nocd

HI guys n gals. Before i start id like to point out i DID use the search option 1st but it diddnt clear up my question. I have the XIII v1.0 English nocd/fixed exe from GCW. This is currently working no probs (so far) but i am confused because there is another file to D/L for the v1.0 nocd which is called "fixed files" (it contains sound for the game) and the NFO states that i should insert the fixed files 1st and then the nocd/fixed exe 2nd. Like i said the game seems to be working fine at present without the fixed files installed and im wondering why that might be as the info states the nocd should be applied after the fixed files. Has anyone else out there used the nocd (v1.0) without using the fixed files ? Did the game run ok ? or did it run ok at 1st but later into the game there were probs ?. I know some ppl will say if its working then whats the prob ?. However id like to know weather to expect probs later on in the game ect. Any info on my above questions will be appreciated.

The game is protected with tagé. With is the only game I ever seen that is protected with that system. MacroMedia braging all over, but didn't took an effect .
However, some inviduals file are tagé protected as well, that is one of the uniq with this protection. The protection can be placed anywhere not just in the .exe file.

So Fairlight that did first the .exe file, got reports that people couldn't get to the next level, becuase the protection didn't allow it and hide the "key" to unlock a room thats gose to the next level.

So YES you might need the fixed files 2....

If you go here:

http://www.3dgamers.com/dlselect/gam...patch.exe.html

then download and install the xiii_codegame_patch.exe, it will remove ALL COPY PROTECTION AND CD CHECKS from the game! This is an OFFICIAL patch too!

Sidney
MotoRacer 3 was the game protected by Tages.
Cannot find any reference to XIII being protected by Tages on Isonews or Nforce.

Thanks guys. @ BarryB Im just about to D/L what you suggest and if it works (removes all copy protection + CD checks) then ill be greatfull to you. Also @ Sidney. Ill check the copy protection with cdkiller's utill and find out if its protected with tages or not. (Mabey the version Krondike was refering to was not from the same Country. I have noticed in the past that different Countries sometimes have different protection for the same game). Anyway thanks for the replys.

Update

Just downloaded ubi's safedisk remover v1.3 for XIII from the link you provided BarryB. (i diddnt realise the link was for ubi's official safedisk remover but obvioulsy its done the trick). Thanks. Also Krondike its now obvious that the UK version @ least is protected with safedisk 1.3.
