The Sims 2 Start-up Problem

Alright ive been playin The Sims 2 for awhile and now when i try to start it, it says "The instruction at "0x00000010" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "read"" ive tried uninstalling it and reinstalling and it still says the same thing. Ive emailed to tech support team at ea games but they still havent emailed me back to im seeing if anyone on these forums can help me.

If I'm not mistaken, according to stories, you won't get much help from EA support because they're too dumb... However, this forum is not a general gaming support forum either... So, your best choice would be asking around on the official online forum for the game.
