Talking about laser-exchange: got a V7 with wornout 400C-laser as well. Is it possible to install a new one for anybody or is that a very complicated procedure that should be done by an expert? Read the UI-Sticky-thread about laser-calibration, but didnīt look too difficult, and am not sure if this needs to be done with a new laser?

Do only v4's have the warning logo on bottom of PS2
If so the guy I got the v7 last night just changed label on back , as it had the warning logo on bottom of PS2 . Should not have done if it was a good v7 Right ?

Never install a new laser without calibrating it. IMO it should be done by a expert.
