I have only just started making backups of my XBOX Games and although I have managed to backup 3 most of the others keep saying "There is a problem with the disc you are using blahdy blahdy blah"
Is there a common reason for this. I am using FlashFXP, have tried both xISO and xboxisotool while burning with nero 6. and have even tried DVD Decrypter to write the ISO file. The games I'm having problems with are Burnout 3, buffy chaos bleeds I have stopped backing up until I can solve these problems - can anyone help |

for burnout, try deleting the files on X, Y, and Z. Then play. Alsmo make sure your time is correct.
If it happens fairly common, then you dvd-rom is either dieing or the disk needs to be a bit better quality. Most of the time it is the dvd-rom. If you have a thompson drive, I definately wouldn't rule it out.

Thanks for the info, what files do x,y,z hold, also what does the time have to do with anything and I have the standard drive that came with the box.
Does the FlashFXP transfer rate cause any problems, try to run on 100mbs/full duplex and need to restart several times before I can get a decent transfer speed should I try on half duplex - just a thought. Cheers |

x, y, and z hold game cache files. One that burnout needs could be corrupt, or removed. I was looking around and it seemed to be a common problem with Burnout 3. Deleting everything in the x, y, and z will require Burnout to create the cache files again.
Oddly, the time matters in some games. Don't ask me why because I have no idea specifically.

So the games are working? I know Dues Ex needed patched files, actually, i think only some versions do. Otherwise it would reboot right when a new game is started.

Have you tried making an ISO with Craxtion? I know xISO puts out corrupted iso's more often than it should. I don't know anyone that uses that toolkit. If you got it off of consolecopyworld, it is very outdated and is probably the problem.
What bios do you have? You don't need to patch the media check, do you?

Craxtion requires the latest .net framework to be installed, since it was coded in .net. You can get it from Microsofts site, or that "autoupdater" might get it for you. Craxtion.com might provide a link so you can check there first.
