bust a move 4 cdda?

I've tried my bust a move 4 backup, but it doesn't work like my original disk. The cdda is messed up it seems. It plays the same music track over and over again, which gets very annoying.

I check the contents of the image and I saw it's a WINCE game.

Does someone know a patch for this game to fix the musics?

auido problem

i know the problem you are having has ive got the same problem
but sega rally 2 has a similar problem but there are a few wince games out there that the audio does work on so it may be a file checking exercise to see if by swapping a file you get the audio to work

Hey DCP !

I've checked SR2 CDDA, and tried to patch it.
Indeed, I don't know why my patch doesn't work, since reversing the exe gave me good results...

Good to here from you again megalexx
what do you mean by reversing the exe
have you added any code or did you find something amiss in the exe and fixed it

I read somewhere it could be a problem of session : CDDA are on session 1 on a GDRom, but on session 0 on a CDRom.
So I wrote 2 programs (1 reading session 1 and another reading session 2), compiled them and checked the differences betbeen them.

I found audio dll in SR2 read session 1, so it couldn't work on a CDRom.
So I "patched" that, but it still doesn't work. :/

I tried just about everything to get CDDA working in WinCE games like this (I own the GD version) with no luck.

It needs to be hacked/patched on a game by game basis, requiring knowledge of DC WinCE and SH4 assembly probably, unlike the Katana games which have one identical piece of code (from the SDK library, no doubt) that can be universally hacked to enable CDDA playback from CD backups.

Bust a Move 4 is on MAME by the way
