THAT dreaded message...!!!

"Power Calibration Error."

We have all seen it sometime or other when making backups but is there any sort of pattern...????
Take my example for instance....

I have a Sony DVD RW DRU-510A with new firmware 1.1A.

When first setting out, i tried a few makes of DVD to find the best one & eventually settled on Ritek G04 which produced no coasters whatsoever. I used to buy these in boxes of 25 st a time from UKDVD-R. Then i saw an offer for 50 of these so i went ahead & bought a couple of them.Then i received them & they lookd different....the tick upside down...ritek.com printed on the disk when it wasn't there before.....& lo & behold i started to get Power Calibration errors. Now, i also use Datawrite as well & these also worked fine so decided to bulk order these & guess what ....they all came up with the same error....!!!!. Now I sit here with nearly 150 blank DVD's that are worthless to me...!!!

The point is...whats the point finding good media that works, bulk buy to save money then getting this kind of error, rendering the media useless...?????

Anyone got any suggestions..???
