Need advice

Which chip should I go for?

I'm thinking AppleX V. Or should I get the new duo X or an alladin, or shell out for the Xecuter 2.3b lite ? Or would you recommend other chips?

Hey psx_paul! Strange seeing you over here!

Personally i'd recommend the XBIT. Installation is EASSSYYYY on all machines v1.0-1.5.

Plus, (My fav feature) you can flash your bios on the chip at any time with the extra board you attach to the back of your machine.

Xbox live?? No prob, just flick the dip switch up

If you can't already tell I kinda like this mod.

Anyway, head over to www.dms3.com and have a look 4urself

Bye!

Thought we made up your mind on the X2? LOL
Personly if you want a chip that you can program via your computer, I would go with the X2.3 Pro over the X-B.I.T. Only reason I say what is b/c I hate flipping dips on the back of the XBox, what a pain to me it is. X2s have a switch board in the front of the XBox witch is really really easy to use. Plus the Pro has an parallel port from witch you can program the chip with.

And is no harder to solder in than any thing else.

I can attest to that. Super easy to install Xbox chips. The benefits with the xbit and the X2.3 pro is that if you flash it with the wrong bios your not up **** creek with out a paddle. You can just hook it up to your PC via a parallel cable with the X2.3 or USB with the Xbit and fix your problem bios (had to find out this the hard way with an appleX V) The X2.3 lite can also be flashed this way but you must purchase the programmer separately so I say just go with the pro to be safe or the xbit. But then again the appleX V would have been fine I really didn’t need to flash it come to find out. The appleX's are already flashed. It was my mistake thinking I needed to flash it when I actually installed evox incorrectly.

I've found that if you just scratch a little bit around the 'g-spot' (Owwch! ) then it installs first time, everytime.

I just find the g-spot and then scour it a tiny bit with a screwdriver and it works fine 4 me
