Need advice
Which chip should I go for?
I'm thinking AppleX V. Or should I get the new duo X or an alladin, or shell out for the Xecuter 2.3b lite ? Or would you recommend other chips? |
can u solder?
if u can then x2.3 lite like u said is reeallly good if not then go for the xbit |
Hey psx_paul! Strange seeing you over here!
Personally i'd recommend the XBIT. Installation is EASSSYYYY on all machines v1.0-1.5. Plus, (My fav feature) you can flash your bios on the chip at any time with the extra board you attach to the back of your machine. Xbox live?? No prob, just flick the dip switch up :D If you can't already tell I kinda like this mod. Anyway, head over to www.dms3.com and have a look 4urself :) Bye! :D |
Just make sure you read up on the exact bios version your flashing it with (right Jay) ;) :p . Especially if demonstrating in front of crowd.

Thought we made up your mind on the X2? LOL
Personly if you want a chip that you can program via your computer, I would go with the X2.3 Pro over the X-B.I.T. Only reason I say what is b/c I hate flipping dips on the back of the XBox, what a pain to me it is. X2s have a switch board in the front of the XBox witch is really really easy to use. Plus the Pro has an parallel port from witch you can program the chip with. And is no harder to solder in than any thing else. |

with the pogo pin adapters do you need to scrap the enamle of the board? or just slot it in and the jobs done!
|
I've found that if you just scratch a little bit around the 'g-spot' (Owwch! ) then it installs first time, everytime.
I just find the g-spot and then scour it a tiny bit with a screwdriver and it works fine 4 me :D |
going for AppleX V, got a good buddy of mine to do the install for me :)
|
cool im looking for an xbit or a x2 lite plus.
