Ahhh, ok, so I just have to find out what they look like and test the connection between both sides? Now, if one of them is fried should I go to a electronics store and find new ones to replace it with or should I just make a bridge?

The fuses are labeled on the board such as PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4 and so on and so on. You cont want to bridge them because if what ever caused the fuse to blow in the first place is still there and you have no protection (the fuse) because of a straight bridge who knows what damage could happen. The damn thing might just catch fire and burn your house down....just kidding. Any way it might be kind of hard to locate the kind of fuses that are on the PS2's mother board at your local electronics shop.... but then again who knows, give them a try. If you have no luck there check out this place.

Good luck

here is another place

http://www.saveware.com/ps2_replacement_parts.htm

if you scroll down the page you will see a downloadable link to a zip document created by charlie_PS2 (by the way where is he, any one heard any thing?) showing where the fuses are on the board and what they service.

This place also sells the fuses if you need them.

Turns out that my ribbon cable has been fine this entire time. So far I've found that fuse ps11 is shot. I'll be double checking them again in a bit. I may try bridging it just to see if that's the problem. If it is I'll shut down the system and buy some fuses to fix it the right way.

Just think, if you bridge it and whater burnt out the fuse passes right through your fuse into something more important.

Ok, are there any people in the Toronto area that due repairs? I think that may be a bit safer even though it may cost me a few bucks.
