Still would start off by checking out the bios. Get the most powerful magnifying lens you can find and a nice well lit area. If you are lucky it is just a wire that has come loose and is bridging a gap. Worst case senario would be that a solder ball is rolling around and bridged that gap, this is much harder to spot. Also be sure to check out all other connections and do a check for solder that could have fallen off the iron and onto the board.

If you were to take it apart yourself I would recommend downloading one of charlie's install guides for the messiah2. This will tell you were the BIOS chip is. There are 9 wires soldered to the chip. In the newer version PS2 these are the only wires that go directly to a chip and are extremely close to each other. This is where most bridging problems occur.

I don't think this is the chips fault, there is a delay when I press eject of 5 seconds, after that the blut light fnally comes on, and tht weird sound goes away.

The BIOS is a chip on the mother board of the PS2. There are 9 points on the modchip that are soldered to this chip on the motherboard. For the newer versions this is the most difficult part of the install and where most trouble happens.

Ohh. So it might have been damaged when I took it to my friends house? He may have dropped it.
