I am using cd to mp3 maker.
It converts cd->wav or mp3 mp3->wav and wav->mp3. It is rather fast and reliable in my opinion. But it is shareware though. Free trial download available

You could search for a prog called "CDex"...
This dirrty lil' helper can rip CDs into mp3 and wav also... See ya!

ya could try dbpoweramp http://www.dbpoweramp.com/ that's what i use and it is a good program ya can make mp3 - wave / wave to mp3 / wma to mp3 / wma to wave ect ect ect if ya want to play around with wma ya will need the dBpowerAMP-codec-wmav8 it's a cool program give it a go
