C&C-Generals -> 1.5 patch update ?? help ..

G'day wams,

The reason you can not update & you get the "Mismatch error" as you said, is because the patch update cannot find the original generals.exe & game.dat file.

Thats why you should ALWAYS back-up your exe,dll,dat files that get replaced. I prefer to make an original exe folder & place them in that, others simply rename the files.

So, when a new patch comes out you simply (in the case of C&C Generals) replace the generals.exe & Game.dat file with the originals & then update, then apply the new crack.

In this case you will have to reinstall the game from the originals that you do own of course......... apply the 1.5 patch update then apply the 1.5 crack.....
