C&C-Generals -> 1.5 patch update ?? help ..
 

hi guys

i cant update c&c generals .. only the patches from 1.0 to 1.1 and 1.2 match the others get this error "Old File not found, a file the same name was found.No update since file contents do not match."
pls help me ..

The reason you can not update & you get the "Mismatch error" as you said, is because the patch update cannot find the original generals.exe & game.dat file.

Thats why you should ALWAYS back-up your exe,dll,dat files that get replaced. I prefer to make an original exe folder & place them in that, others simply rename the files.

So, when a new patch comes out you simply (in the case of C&C Generals) replace the generals.exe & Game.dat file with the originals & then update, then apply the new crack.

In this case you will have to reinstall the game from the originals that you do own of course......... apply the 1.5 patch update then apply the 1.5 crack.....;)

yes i tried to do it you said, but it didn´t match ..
i reinstalled cnc and tried to update to 1.5 but it only worked till 1.2, and only trying to match the 1.5 didn´t match to ..

can u send me the original files i need ? maybe my cnc version is not good ..

There is no point in upgrading using all the upgrade patches, you should only need to use the latest one.
If it doesn't work then you are probably using the wrong language version.

well your C&C version should be good, provided you own an original copy...which you do have wams.... dont you... ??



& as Black Diamond said..... once you complete a fresh install of the game from your originals - you simply run ONLY the Version 1.5 update not 1.1, then 1.2 & so on...... only apply the 1.5 update nothing else..... as this will include all the updates from previous patches.

i wanted to put the german patch on it .. but i had the english version ^^ hehe
