What kind of Mod??
i just got a new mod (because usb mods suck) but i dont have a clue what kind it is. My cousin said he'd get me a mod but he never told me what kind. All i know is:
It plays all originals It plays DVD-R backups from same region Plays Imported DVD-R backups in black and white Plays all PS1 backups (but i gotta turn it off with the game inside the tray, then hold the power button for about 3 seconds when i turn it on) I'm not sure but i think its called a Matrix or something like that.

Check my boot procedures post and see which mod boots everything the way yours does...
Mod Chip Boot Procedures! This may help you to determine which chip you have.... Although it would be easier to just ask your cousin.

I had a look and I am pretty sure its a Matrix 2. Unless anybody can prove me wrong, that is the conclusion i will draw

Those procedures match the Matrix 2 as well as some others. Sounds like you have a decent chip regardless.
