help playing dvds on ps2 with messiah2
I have a ps2 professionally modded with a messiah2. I put the dvd in the tray, close the tray, and flip the switch so that the ps2 is off. I then turn the switch on so that the ps2 is in standby mode. I hold down reset until the blue eject light comes on. The screen says: please insert a ps2 format disk. I throw the controller at the wall. I’d appreciate any help.

Don't hold the button. That disables the Messsiah 2. Just tap it.
Have you seen my stapler?

no doesn't work yet
the dvd's in the tray i flip the switch so that it's in standby mode i press reset it takes me to the screen where you can browse the memory card or select the disk to the right of it, i select the disk, the screen goes black then takes me back to the same screen, then i ask myself: hey jimbo, how do you feel about this? i respond: a n g r y, i need to watch officespace b4 work tomorrow

Is this a movie you are trying to watch? If so you do need to hold reset for several seconds. Try holding reset for a second or two longer.

If it's a game DVD-R game, I had the same problem.
Poor media was the answer. I switched to Ritek DVD-R, boots fine now.
