and if the emphasis was on people using the cracks on legally owned copies of the games or what not, then isnt modifying the executable breaking the warranty that comes with the game?
Look Tippex, I explained everything in my previous post. If you're going to quote my whole post and then not bother reading it, then this discussion is at an end. I told you why, you keep on persisting in thinking I said things which I clearly didn't. If you're not going to listen then shut up.

okie well.. lets see okie warez arent supported.. so if someone comes with a problem with a crack and they got the is from a p2p program or whatever, they get the 'no warez' thrown at them, however if a person comes with an iso they've made as a backup (assuming of course they had an original) then they get pointed to the crack (which chances are came from a warez release initially), now okie i can accept what you said about beta versions etc.. but surely the crack would only exist for the warez release (which chances again are that its final).. and with people having problems with their backups, again i think its safe to say the warez version would have been tested, yet the persons backup would be individual and possibly caused by numerous issues on thier pc / copying method etc.. could cause more problems..

Tippex, you have SOOOOOO misunderstood the meaning of this forum. Firstly, why would someone need a crack (NoCD withstanding) if they had a warez copy?? I mean, hello, warez releases come with cracks.
Secondly, most people who know how to get warez, also have the brains on how to get cracks, comprende?
Thirdly, I've never seen anyone say to others 'No Warez' or 'Nevermind' when someone says they got the crack off a P2P. Heck I'd been inclined to say 'Nevermind' if the person said 'I got this crack off KaZaa and it dont work'.
Fourthly, why would a crack only exsist if a warez release of a game exsisted?? Ever heard of (off the top of my head) bOOl's_eye, cdkiller and Dark Soul. These people busted and still bust their asses over cracking retail releases and patches.
Fiftly...

Nevermind...

I'm sorry I stirred up this hornet's nest. But in case someone still wants it, I found the No-CD crack on a crack/trainer FTP server and sent it to GCW.

Hopefully, GCW will allow the crack to be posted for those who own the game legally!

I hate inserting CD's. If I own it and install it, I believe I should have the right to play it w/o the CD in the drive--otherwise I might as well buy an X-Box and sell my PC.

Don't worry about it, TippeX thinks he's quite the man by refusing to listen to reason. He's just so cute. Nobody here could care less where the crack came from as long as it works, you're quite welcome.

What I'm thinking of what the forum rules means. And to clear things up.

Warez Game is not allow = If U downloaded a game U don't own.
Warez Crack is allow = If u downloaded a crack to skip or to turn of the cd-protection of the game. U bought legaly and installed from a Original disc.

If TippeX don't understand that. U might get a new brain.

Right me if I was wrong about the part of the forum rules.

Anxiously awaiting!!! I'm hoping this will clear up my problem with the blank screen thing. The game loads and I can go through the menus and everything, but 9 times out of 10, when I start a race the game just goes to a blank screen and hard-locks.

I'm hoping this is just some issue with the protection used on the gamedisk and not some driver issue. I AM using the latest available Radeon driver for my 8500 128DDR....

I don't bother with pirate versions of games, I actually BUY them. I don't even bother to try to copy them anymore, I just kick in a NoCD fix and put the CD away for safe keeping....

The issue with this game is driving me nuts!!! Every other game works fine.....

Maybe I should just break down and get some CONsole, I like these kinds of games (arcadey FUN games) more than FPS's and boring strategy games anyway....

sigh...
