Backup problems

Hi & thanks guys for your help But I'm still having some probs
This is what I've tried so far . Ok First I went & rented & borrowed the same games I have to see if mine were damaged or something. Same thing happens Also picked up all the different media I could find (trying to elimate the media issue) Ok now that did'nt pan out. I went & purchaced New IDE cables replaced them(you never know) Damn same prob again So know I reformat the drive . So Now all I have is the operating system & Record Max running & the same Crap Ok I'm gettting pissed now I borrowed my buddies a04 & guess what same SH*T
(So now the drive issue is not to blame) Ok Now I'm totally lost. I even created a xxx.gi & in the settings I tried Only Verify against the origanall disk & Same error occurs at the same sector (Discs Are spotless) PLEASE HELP I'M GETTING READY TO GIVE THIS WHOLE THING UP
