Just flick the switch. If it doesn't boot up, then you need to fix your HDD. (just flick the switch again to turn it back on). If it does boot up, then you don't need to fix the HDD.

hi all was reading this post which is relevant to me cos my m8 has knackered his xbox in the same way right quall999 you seem to know what your talkking about this 120 meg or so file you got could i get it please and how easy is it to fix this problem when ive got it oh by the way ive got dsl

well, in order to fix it, you have to be able to load evolutionX on the xbox. Put it on a cd and boot it up, if it works, then post here.

The files I have are too big to be emailed if I sent it, so we'd have to use something like "AIM" to send it in real time. Also, which modchip does he have? Also, are you sure he went to "go live" in a game while having the evoX dashboard set up?

As for how easy is it..... You have to ftp to the xbox with FlashFXP, then you have to replace all the files on the xbox's "C" drive with ones that weren't edited with xbox live.

i think this is exactly what i need. i formated my xbox drive while learning to and installing evox and forgot to back up.
its working with just the evox dash however i have lost all the original xbox stuff (ver1.1).
have you still got a back up and would you be willing to send it, share it or let me download it (i have cable) PLEASE!

Yes, I still have the backup. It can't be emails due to file size (100mb uncompressed). I would have to send it through an IM like AIM. If You don't have cable, then I am sorry. It would take extremely long to download and If you D/C, we'd have to start over.

I also want to say that this is for an NTSC-US xbox. I dunno if it will effect your xbox (pal, right?) differently, like boot ntsc instead of pal or something like that. (if it does, this can be changed wit a video mode selector made by enigmah).

1 more thing, do you need both the E and C drives, or just the C.
