Yes I was aware of BG's sticky just double checking to see if it was the same as the Magic 3.

Ok, thanks every one. Now can you tell me how to get to the PS2’s main board? I don’t have it in my hand but I would like to open and know how every thing comes apart and goes back together. Don’t wanta open it up then break a wire and not know what I did.

Okay, never mind disregard my last post. I got brave and decided to take my PS2 apart so I know what I was doing when the new modchip gets here.
Also, think I’m going to go with the Magic3 b/c I can also get I can get the little good that brings the wires to solder down to 7 instead of 22. Not 100% on my soldering skills on stiff this small. Thanks again rms2001

just to give u bit more info on magic 3
the newest bug reported major one at that if u ask me games all boot some hang people were blaming it on clones this proven not to be true also occurs latest magic3 the likely reason is the design fault that means all magic3 will overheat eventually technical info taken from a qoute from guichi even if its something else causing games to crash that means then theres another major bug i not seen tested any m3 i dont want to really  unless its free i try it in few units c how it performs but i sure i swap it back for the messiah2 looks like messiah2 still rules for the forseeable future hull chiper can u report on overheating,any been tested for overheating? if yes what timescales u talking about?

I guess all the research was good after all...
And i was thinking of getting a magic 3 for my v7.  Thank god i didnt Can't wait to get my new messiah 2 Thanx to dust and Charlie. I wish no problems appear with the m2 ....
