Damn I also get "working" copies (use B&W for testing), but only if I read subchannel (tested with both). And I don't use fast error skip; I've noticed the Mitsumi CR4805TE only supports hardware correction when you enable this (I use CCD 3.00.20 beta). But anyway, it's very fast reading errors so I don't need that shit. :P
Must get some VERY HIGH quality medium to test (pure GOLD medium); goint to test the medium reflectivity theory. I think B&W has one of the strongest SD2 protections :'( , so you should give it a try to see how good your writer is managing it. See ya |

Barkuti, funny you should say about that (medium reflectivity ) found with some unbranded 80's that when copying SD2 games some dont work, but keep running the exe and for some reason it starts up !!??!
burned the same image on a cdrw and the game works fist time everytime !!?!? |

i have a mitsumi cr 4804TE
i tested B&W which seems to be sd2 protected however unsafedisc2 doesnt work with it so i used the fixed exe as oppossed to the nocd exe that way you get the cd music. i made a copy with clone cd but whilst it worked the first 3 times now it gives unhandled extraction errors which when viewed in debug visual C++ they appear to be intentional altough dont quote me im not a certified expert on these matters. |
